I just found out that another kid I went to high school with is dead of cancer. Osteosarcoma. I haven't seen him since high school and recently found his blog where he talks about being an anesthesia resident and going through treatment for his cancer. I think he turned out to be a much better person than I thought he was in high school. Maybe he was always a better person than I gave him credit for.

So sorry to hear that. Cancer is such a horrible, horrible thing.

Agreed. Damn. I lost a friend younger than myself to malignant melanoma too. The initial lesion was in her rectum and therefore never spotted until it was too late.

Life is short.

Also, I'm LOVING that you're back. That comment on my blog brought back the memories when I'd see a comment and that familiar uterus (your Blogger pic, not me being a pervert) on every post. Hope you're well.

I wish I had something useful to say. Only that when such things happen we are changed by them and I hope you're doing okay.
