yay!
Today Ben finally gave up and told me we could get a cleaning lady. I will have to decide on weekly vs. q2weeks. We're pretty messy but I'm not sure we need weekly. I'm looking forward to not having to clean the bathroom.

Woo-hoo! I've had a cleaning lady since my third or fourth year of medical school, and I regularly tell people about how amazing it is. As for the weekly/q2week question, I find that every 1.5 weeks would be about perfect, albeit impossible to arrange. I get mine to come once a week, as the mess usually starts to reaccumulate 2-3 days after she cleans, so q1week keeps my apartment tidy/mostly clean at least half the time.

Yes! Brilliant decision! We are very happy indeed with fortnightly as we don't need a spotless house all the time and we don't have pets. Congrats, I am excited for you! PS don't be afraid to be fastidious - a good cleaner is hard to find but the do exist.
Every 2 weeks for us. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs including a 6 month old puppy. Perhaps we're more tolerant of mess than others...
