Disappointed
I was given a temp assignment and today it fell though. I'm very disappointed. I want to feel like I'm earning money and contributing to my household. I feel useless being around here all day baking cookies even if people say they're the best they've ever had. I can hardly afford to buy Ben a birthday present and pay next month's rent. Bah humbug.

I hope something that pays very well comes your way soon. I liked temping during breaks when I was in medical school.
One new years eve, I temped as a blackjack dealer! That was hillarious!
Maybe one of your friends could hook you up with a couple of shifts where they are working. It probably wouldn't be exactly what you're looking for, but work is work, even if it's folding jeans or waiting tables.
Arrrgh, I so feel for you!! Going though the exact same problem on this side of the pond.. I really hate being jobless...
I hope that something else will turn up for you though.
And at least you can bake good cookies. I can't even do that.
